Our 2021 Performing Arts Series for Students shows will go on sale Tuesday, May 26 at 10am.
Due to the ongoing health mandates around indoor venues, we have made the decision to suspend our Performing Arts Series for Students until the fall of 2021.
We remain hopeful that we will be able to offer performances in person during the next school year. If you purchased tickets for the spring 2021 season, you will be contacted by our Box Office and/or Education teams to process refunds. Thank you for supporting this program and for your flexibility around rescheduled events, and we look forward to seeing you, your students, and your families when schools are back in session as normal.
Enjoy and participate in a sampling of the beautiful traditional dances celebrated each spring by the diverse people of the Silk Road. Program includes the colorful scarf dance of the Iranian Qashqai people, basket dance of the Iranian Gilaki people, Turkish spoon dance, Kurdish or Azerbaijani Harvest dance, and more. Introduced with narrative and traditional clothing, the music and dances provide insight into the ethnic culture and life of the communities of their origin. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn some of the dances!
